How do I earn money from mystery shopping at home?

If you haven’t already signed up as a mystery shopper with us, it’s quick and easy to do on our website. Simply create an account with us and complete your Shopper Profile, to get the ball rolling.

When logged into the Portal, click on ‘Home-based Assignments’ and see what mystery shops are available. Every time you successfully submit an assessment form, our team will aim to process it and pay you within 28 days. Whether you get paid via PayPal or straight into your bank account is up to you.

What assignments can I do from home?

Our ‘remote assignments’ are typically mystery shops that are done by mystery calling over the phone or online. For example, one scenario might be calling up a service provider and asking a series of questions or making a booking. Another could be making an enquiry into a product or service via website chat or social media. Some include making a purchase that is reimbursed. All of these just require you to make an assessment of your experience.

I’ve heard about using audio or screen recording equipment. Will I need to use this?

The short answer is sometimes, but not always. 

If you are doing a mystery call enquiry, sometimes we’ll ask that you record the call, but you won’t need any special equipment for this. Simply follow the following steps:

– Prepare two devices (e.g., mobile phone and tablet, mobile phone and landline phone, mobile phone and laptop).

– Use one device to make the call, keeping it on loudspeaker.

– Use the other device to record the call.

– Download a free voice recorder app if needed or use an existing one on your device.

– Ensure that the volume is turned up when making the call.

– Dial the number specified in your Shopper Brief.

– Start recording on your other device and then initiate the call.

– Complete the assigned scenario during the call.

– Hang up the phone when done, stop recording, and save the recording.

– Upload the recording to your assessment form.

For some website or app assessments, we might ask you to record your screen while you visit the website. There are lots of free visual recording software available, including OBS Studio, Share X, Apowersoft Free Online Screen Recorder, FlashBack Express and Screencast-o-Matic. 

Why do we record calls and website assessment?

Capturing your experience first-hand, either calling or navigating online not only gives us an accurate picture of how your experience actually was, but allows the client to truly see how they are performing including instances of great performance as well as any areas that need improving.
